Carrie Underwood!

My roommate and I were lucky enough to get tickets when Carrie Underwood was in town-that's right, she came to Chicago!  This was extra exciting for me being the AMERICAN IDOL fan I am (well, I guess I should say the old American Idol---like pre-Reuben)!  I have loved Carrie Underwood since the day I saw her audition for American Idol.  I've been a fan since DAY 1-LITERALLY!  We both had a blast at the concert, so fun to see her live!  That girl has got some PIPES!  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, enjoy some "take-a-ways" from the night.  Jenn, next time there's an opportunity, we're going!

Little Big Town opened for Carrie Underwood.  While I know a couple of their songs and that's as far as it went for me, I really enjoyed them!

My lil' Sadie

It's hard to explain how much I love this little girl and she's not even my own child, she's my niece.  Since the day Sadie was born, I've felt this special connection with her.  I would travel to Louisville often and just spend the weekend with Adam, Jennifer and little Sadie.  I loved it.  I loved everything about it.  I loved holding her, loved playing with her, loved watching her, loved rocking her, loved absolutely everything---still do! This little girl is so much fun and absolutely the sweetest little thing you'll ever see.  I can't explain the joy and excitement I experience when I see her but also the sorrow I feel when I leave her, it about kills me!  Its hard to imagine our family before little Sadie came to the earth, but I will forever be grateful that she's here and that I'm her aunt!  I don't think it's possible to love her anymore than I already do.

I got to spend the weekend in Minnesota with the fam, and we spent a day in Stillwater, MN to take Sadie to the Apple Orchard.  There was a petting zoo that Sadie was crazy about--she was fearless and wanted to touch all the animals.  Enjoy the shots from our Saturday at the Apple Orchard!

Ice Cream cone fun and what happens after-

Sadie loves ice cream cones and we love watching her eat one!  Once she sees the ice cream cone she gets so excited to put it in her mouth.  She's such a big girl now, she holds the cone all by herself!  Of course she needed a bath right after her treat.  She's so dang cute!!
