Home Sweet Home

Last weekend I had the chance to go home for a few days.  Reed came home for Spring Break from Snow College so I thought I would jaunt home to enjoy the fam!  I got to go up to St. Cloud to see Adam and Jennifer's ADORABLE house--I saw the MOST ADORABLE nursery EVER while I was up there--yup, it was Sadie's!  That is one lucky girl, her nursery really couldn't be any cuter!  I came home to my mom in the middle of re-doing our family room; I'm excited to see the final product of all her efforts--she's so talented!  Here's a couple photos from the trip!

Reed really wanted to go bowling with everyone, so as we were driving to the bowling alley little Sadie fell asleep---AWESOME---there was my excuse not to bowl!  So I got to sit and hold little Sadie as she was fast asleep, I LOVED every minute!  Then she woke up and was ready to bowl herself!
So thought we'd start off with Reed and I being goofy (I know it's so abnormal to see!! haha)

Adam and I
(turns out Adam was the bowling champion--Adam, you're really making it in this world now!)

Adam bowling with little Sadie

Jenn bowling with Sadie---look at that form!

Please take notice to my sister-in-law's HOT NEW HAIRCUT!!!

Adam and Jenn
I love them so much!

The reason I included this photo is to show that this little girl is ALWAYS on the move--it's hard to get a picture of her--perfect example!

I had so much fun helping little Sadie bowl!

Uncle Reed's turn to help Sadie

I think Reed learned a few bowling moves from Sadie!

Sadie took time out to drive the car at the bowling alley

Sadie is HILARIOUS!  She has such a fun personality, as you can see here.  She loves wearing reading glasses like her Grandma!

Sadie being silly for everyone

Uncle Reed kissing Sadie goodbye :(

It's so hard to say goodbye to this sweet girl-  I just hate when I have to leave!
I love coming home and playing with Sadie--she sleeps in my room when I come home so we get to have our own little time together in the mornings before everyone gets up!  I miss her so much when I'm not at home!  Overall, it was a great trip--lots of fun and lots of inside jokes--per usual :)  I love my family so much and feel so blessed to be a part of them- I'm the luckiest!

Happy Birthday Jennifer!

Just wanted to take a little time to wish my sister-in-law a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! For those of you who know Jennifer know how FABULOUS she is! She is the greatest friend, greatest wife (that info straight from the source---my brother) and such an amazing mom! I love her so much, appreciate how FUN she is, love that she loves SHOPPING as much as my mom and I do, and love that she makes us LAUGH all the time! She loves my brother so much, which makes us love her that much more--and Sadie loves her mom (as she should). Jennifer, this family wouldn't be the same without you---I am so lucky to have you as my sister-in-law, thanks for always being there for me--I love you so much! This slideshow is for you (wish I could be home for your birthday!)

Christmas 2008

Since Reed left on his mission, we've all been waiting for Christmas 2008 when we would once again celebrate TOGETHER with EVERYONE HOME!  The time was FINALLY here--we were anxious for the holidays to come so we all could spend it together at home!   It was so fun to play with Sadie for 2 weeks---we had so much fun and she's just so sweet!  Here's a few pics from Christmas---

Sadie loves her Grandma!
Sadie loved putting on Auntie Abby's boots and talk all around the house.

Sadie loved all her gifts--she was so excited!

This is what Sadie woke up to Christmas morning!

Christmas Eve at Grandma's house!

We love this little girl so much!

Yes---I've been M.I.A

So I would always give others a hard time for not updating their blogs, but now I'm one of them!!! I apologize to all those who faithfully check for updates in my life by checking my blog, only to be slapped in the face with disappointment---NOVEMBER??  Is that really when this blog was last updated?  Sad but true, I commit to updating my blog more often (especially since I learned that my little niece LOVES looking at my blog and say my name---how can that not melt ones heart?)

So here's some pictures from the past little while.
My brother Reed is on the Snow College football team who went undefeated this year!!  Because of that, they played in the National Championship game in Sandy, UT against a team from Kansas (the specific name of the school is NOT important).  My parents and I were able to fly out there watch Snow College get screwed out of a National Championship title---thank you referees!  While we were out there, we had a chance to go see the lights on temple square (so beautiful) and I experienced for the FIRST TIME Cafe Rio!   --it certainly won't be the last night I experience that blessed place :)  Here's a few snapshots from the trip-

We had to get BIG GULPS at the SEV!

I was so excited to see Reed (as you can see in this picture!)

Reed in his stance---long snapping. (Reed, don't hate me for posting this picture)

It was such a fun trip- fun to go to Salt Lake, fun to see Reed, watch the game and just hang out together!  I was so proud of Reed and the hard work he's put into football this year-Reed, I'll always be ONE OF YOUR BIGGEST FANS!

Carrie Underwood!

My roommate and I were lucky enough to get tickets when Carrie Underwood was in town-that's right, she came to Chicago!  This was extra exciting for me being the AMERICAN IDOL fan I am (well, I guess I should say the old American Idol---like pre-Reuben)!  I have loved Carrie Underwood since the day I saw her audition for American Idol.  I've been a fan since DAY 1-LITERALLY!  We both had a blast at the concert, so fun to see her live!  That girl has got some PIPES!  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, enjoy some "take-a-ways" from the night.  Jenn, next time there's an opportunity, we're going!

side note---this is the outfit she came out in---this girl is totally my style!
I love this dress and the boots!

She had this little girl come on the stage to help her sing "All-American Girl"--
too bad she got so shy and wouldn't really sing it.

She looked beautiful in every outfit change!

Carrie rockin' out with PARADISE CITY- it was amazing!

Little Big Town opened for Carrie Underwood.  While I know a couple of their songs and that's as far as it went for me, I really enjoyed them!
